Basta una gonna ed è già estate – A skirt is enough and it’s already summer

Metti una domenica a Pisa, un mercato ed un cumulo di ritagli, rotoli e scampoli. Cerca, cerca, cerca e a un tratto trovo questa meraviglia di stoffa blu e bianca, a righe e a pois, che mi sa tanto di mare e spiaggia ed estate. ‘Ci farò la mia gonna a ruota’ mi sono detta. E quando i pensieri si tramutano in realtà, è li che sta la vera meraviglia. Perché questa gonna è venuta esattamente come l’avevo immaginata. Con i miei colori preferiti, con un alto elasticone in vita, svolazzante, fresca, comoda, estiva. Credo sia il capo più veloce che potessi realizzare al mio corso serale di taglio e confezione e adesso che ho immagazzinato il metodo…invaderò l’armadio di gonne a ruota?? Avete ragione, vedete bene, non ho stirato la gonna, ma volevo fare le foto e pubblicarle il prima possibile!!

You put a Sunday in Pisa, a market and a heap of clippings, rolls and remnants. Fumble, fumble, fumble  and suddenly  I find this wonderful blue and white cloth with lines and dots, that inspires me sea and beach and summer. ‘I will make my midi skirt’ I said. And when the thoughts are transformed in reality, it is there the really marvel. Because this skirt has exactly come as I had imagined it. With my preferred colors, with a tall elastic band on the hips, fluttering, fresh, comfortable, summer. I think it is the fastest item of clothing that I could realize at my evening course of cut and wrapping and now that I have stored the method, will I fill my wardrobe with this kind of skirts? You are right, you see well, I have not stretched the skirt, but I wanted to make the photos and to show them to you as soon as possible.
