All in one: I miei capi estivi #2 e #3– Pantaloncini e Abiti – My summer garments #2 and #3– Shorts and Dresses – FrizzanTina

Sono tremendamente in ritardo. Ormai non avevo più speranze di poter pubblicare gli ultimi capi estivi che ho cucito, ma finalmente sono riuscita a scattare qualche foto. Inoltre, grazie al sole che ci fa ancora compagnia, tutto è ancora più bello.
Purtroppo ho un po’ di rivoluzioni in corso e quindi il mio cucito ne ha risentito nelle ultime settimane, ma conto di riprendermi al più presto anche perché vorrei partire con qualcosa di invernale.

I’m terribly late. I haven’t hope yet to publish my summer garments, but finally I could take some photo and here they are. Moreover, thanks to this beautiful sun, everything is even better. Unfortunately, changes in my life have slow down my sewing activity, but I hope to start again soon also because I would like to sew something for this winter.

Devo dire che mi sono sbizzarrita molto quest’anno a creare pantaloncini: mi sono accorta che è molto semplice e veloce, tanto che credo ne confezionerò qualcuno anche di più sportivo. Sul mio tavolo del cucito si sono susseguite righe, pois, tinte unite ed effetti geometrici.

I have to say that I indulged myself a lot in creating shorts: I noticed that it’s very simple and fast, so that I think that I’m going to sew some sport ones too. On my sewing table there was stripes, polka dots, solid colours and geometrical effects.

Sono stati tutti creati aggiungendo un elastico in vita e un piccolo orlino al fondo, quindi nulla di così strano. L’unico appunto che devo fare riguarda i pantaloncini a pois. Questi non li ho fatti esattamente io, perché si tratta di una sorta di refashion. Risalgono infatti a circa 15/16 anni fa, quando una cara amica di mia mamma mi fece un abitino con questa stoffa e questi short con ciò che rimaneva. Non li ho mai buttati, sempre nella speranza di poterli riutilizzare. Finalmente adesso è arrivato il loro turno. Per poterli indossare, ho tagliato la parte con l’elastico che c’era prima e in questo modo ho aperto le quattro pince che erano state fatte, aggiungendo solo un elastico della mia misura. E il gioco è fatto.

Ho utilizzato molto anche questi pantaloncini, sia per passeggiare la sera al mare, sia per gli spostamenti da una meta all’altra; e in ogni occasione si sono rivelati pratici al punto giusto.

Credo che per la prossima estate mi ripeterò ma ovviamente cercando di fare attenzione a qualche particolare che quest’anno mi è sfuggito.

I’ve created them using an elastic bend at the waist and a small hem, so nothing of really strange. I would like to do one note only on the polka dots shorts. In fact I’ve only refashioned them. About 15/16 years ago, a dear of my mother’s friend made a sweet polka dots dress for me and these shorts with the fabric that remained. After that period, I’ve never thrown them, with the hope to wear them again one day. Finally that day arrived. To wear them, I cut the old elastic bend, I’ve opened the four pinces and at the end I added a new elastic bend of my size. And problem solved.

I used a lot these shorts, to stroll during summer evenings but also during the travels: always comfortable at the right way.

I think that next summer I’m going to sew other of them, but paying attention to some detail that escaped in these ones.

Oltre ai pantaloncini, non potevano certo mancare gli abiti. Assolutamente. Per le mie vacanze ne ho cuciti due, entrambi a fantasia. Il primo che vi mostro è bianco con piccoli pois blu scuro. Ho disegnato io stessa il modello con le mie misure, modificando il corpino fino ad arrivare ad avere lo scollo all’americana che volevo. Ho inserito all’interno una paramontura sia del davanti che del dietro ed una zip invisibile sul retro. Per la gonna ho utilizzato invece il modello della gonna svasata che ho attaccato al corpino in vita. Per quando riguarda l’orlo, ho preferito procedere con uno zig zag fitto ed evitare il risvoltino perché mi dava l’idea di troppa pesantezza.

With shorts, dresses couldn’t miss. Absolutely. I’ve sewn two of them for my summer holidays. The first one is white with dark blue polka dots. I’ve drawn the pattern by myself with my size, changing the bodice to have a halter neck. I added inside a facing and an invisible zip on the back. Then, I used my pattern of the gypsy skirt. For the hem, I preferred a hard zig zag: I avoided the classic one because I thought it would be to heavy.

Il mio secondo vestitino è invece a quadri. Per cucire questo ho utilizzato uno scampolo di stoffa che mi aveva regalato la mia amica a Natale. Si tratta di un cotone davvero spettacolare: bello sia da cucire che da indossare, un vero bijoux. E poi la tinta: questi quadri neri, fuxia e bianchi mi fanno impazzire. Come modello ho invece sfruttato il 115 del Burda di maggio. A differenza della blusa in cui avevo inserito l’elastico, però, in questo caso ho creato una fusciacca da legare in vita. Ho indossato molto anche questo abito e credo che potrò utilizzarlo anche in autunno, magari con un leggins sotto ed un golfino.

The second dress I want to show you is checked. To sew this one I used another remnants taken from my Christmas presents. It’s a fantastic cotton: wonderful to sew and to wear. And then I absolutely adore black, pink and white squares. While the pattern is n° 115 of Burda again. In this case, instead of the elastic bend, I created a belt with the same fabric. I wore a lot this dress and I think I will use it in autumn too, maybe with a pair of leggings and a cardigan.
